What six players have
had four-year All-American careers?
In the history of the Kodak All-America program for women's basketball, six players have won this
honor all four years of their collegiate careers. The most recent was LaToya Thomas, Mississippi
State, 2000. 2001. 2002. 2003, currently playing in the WNBA with the San Antonio Silver Stars. The
others were Tamika Catchings, Tennessee, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, an WNBA all-star with the Indiana
Fever; Chamique Holdsclaw, Tennessee, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, a member of the Washington Mystics of
the WNBA; Cheryl Miller, USC, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, three-time Naismith Award winner, and a head
coach at her alma mater for two years; Lynette Woodard, Kansas, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, inducted
into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a player for both the Jayhawks and the Harlem
Globetrotters, and was the first woman inducted into the CoSIDA Academic All-America Hall of Fame;
and Ann Meyers, UCLA, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, College Player of the Year and winner of the
prestigious Broderick Cup, Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, and currently a radio and
television broadcaster.
